Connecting Trustpilot
Sync your Trustpilot reviews into Sentric by generating API credentials from your Business account.
To automatically pull your company's reviews from Trustpilot into Sentric, you'll need to create a new API application within your Trustpilot Business dashboard. This provides Sentric with a secure API Key and Secret to authenticate on your behalf.
What you'll need
- Trustpilot Business Account
- API Key
- API Secret
- Business Unit ID
Access Trustpilot APIs
- Log in to your Trustpilot Business account.
- In the left-hand navigation menu, go to Integrations > Developers > APIs.
Create a new Application
- Under the Your Applications section, click Create application.
- Enter a name for the application (e.g., "Sentric Sync").
- You can leave the redirect URIs blank if prompted, as Sentric only requires server-to-server API access.
- Click Create application.
Copy your Credentials
Once your application is created, Trustpilot will display your credentials. You will need to copy two specific values:
- API Key (also referred to as the Client ID).
- API Secret (also referred to as the Client Secret).
Find your Business Unit ID
Trustpilot uses a unique ID for your business. The easiest way to find this is to search for your own business on the public Trustpilot website and look at the URL. Alternatively, Sentric can resolve your Business Unit ID automatically if you provide your API Key and your exact domain name.
Configure Sentric
Return to your Sentric dashboard and navigate to your Product settings. Under Integrations, select Trustpilot:
- Enter your API Key and API Secret.
- Enter your Business Unit ID (or your domain name if prompted).
- Click Connect.
You're all set
Sentric will test the connection by requesting a single review. Once verified, the sync engine will backfill your historical reviews and monitor for new ones hourly.
